What is Grain ATM ?

The Grain ATM is an automatic machine the bank ATM's. It was a pilot programme in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram under the “World Food Programme " of the United Nations.

India's first Grain ATM “Annapurti Grain ATM"is set to provide grain within minutes to the citizens of Gurugram, Haryana.

On Wednesday, the Nation got the first ever 'Grain ATM' which is said to supply 70kg of grains in a time frame of five to seven minutes.

It is known as Automated, multi commodity, Grain dispensary Machine.

Dushyant Chautala haryana's deputy chief minister, present at the inauguration, stated that the pilot programme of unique grain dispensary facility installed in Farrukhnagar region of Gurugram to ensure simple and stress free distribution of food grains to the citizens.

A Biometric system installed in the machine will cater to the needs of grains for beneficiaries in no time. A notable feature of the Annapurti ATM is its touch screen, that equipped in the biometric system. And the process is need to enter you Aadhar card number or Ration card number. When the verification process is completed, the food grain allocated by the State government for a beneficiary will be filled in bags under the ATM.
