"Absolutely Delighted by this news" peruses a piece of tweet shared by PM Modi on Harappan city Dholavira that was announced a World heritage site.
Dholavira is one of the two biggest Harappan destinations in India and the fifth biggest in the subcontinent on Tuesday,UNESCO engraved an archeological site in Gujarat's kachchh district, Dholavira as a world heritage site. Privately known as Kotada Timba, this is perhaps the most conspicuous locales of the Harappan Civilization.
The continuous 44th meeting of the world heritage committee of UNESCO has effectively given India a new world heritage site as the Rudreswara /Ramappa Temple in Telengana which traces all the way back to the thirteenth century.
Gujarat so far has three heritage destinations - Champaner close to Pavangadh, Rani ki Vav in Patan and The memorable city of Ahmadabad.
The meeting of the world heritage committee is being led from Fuzhou in China and being held online. It began on 16 th July and will end on 31 July.
The 44 th meeting joins current work and issues left remarkable since last year when the yearly gathering was delayed because of Covid 19.
